*Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience., *Oracle Customer Experience (CX) suite offers leading comprehensive solution for Sales, Marketing, Service, Social and Commerce on the cloud. This helps organizations consolidate, clean, complete and coordinate data to and from multiple sources. It hosts data from different data providers and to help enrich customer and contact information and also serve as a api/data conduit to external data providers. It can standardize addresses, resolve duplicates and ensure the customer profile is current and can be trusted by sales reps, managers and the entire organization. Oracle Customer Data Management capabilities help companies drive increased revenue, improve operational efficiency and provide uniform customer data throughout the customer lifecycle.DaaS team is looking for a Director of Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems and highly scalable services. As an leader you will own the execution of software design and development for major components of Oracles CDM. You should have technical depth, architectural know how, strong people and process management skills and ability to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. These are exciting times in our space. We are growing exponentially, but still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives.Role Expectations:

• Be a strategic thinker, with the ability to inherently grasp the nuances of the business and can drive decisions with Senior Management and Product strategy
• Analytical mindset to understand business needs, and come up with engineering solutions that scale to answer broad problems across the organization balancing complexity and simplicity
• Expertise in cloud engineering and distributed systems (JAVA J2EE, Python. Kafka , Hadoop/Spark, Oracle Kubernetes etc. )
• Have prior experience in building a team and delivering world class products
• Work with designers and product managers to arrive at a product/service definition and get the definition to an execution plan Work with the team and outside stakeholders to get necessary approvals for the architecture and design for the problem at hand

Job Requirements

• Experience with building highly scalable cloud native applications using microservices
• Experience or familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Solid work experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka etc
• Experience with cloud platforms, cloud technologies/deployments - technologies (AWS/OCI),CI/CD tools etc
• Experience with Big Data analytics tools (Spark/Kafka) and Data visualization experience with Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, etc. will be a big plus a plus
• Experience developing webUIs using Oracle JET, JavaScript libraries and/or frameworks (jQuery,Angular,etc)
• Context-switch between multiple projects / codebases / concepts with ease
• Understand software development at a fundamental level, use the best tools for the job, and always think about the future (at scale) when architecting solutions
• Knowledge of fundamental aspects for release automation (packaging, dependencies, promotion, deployment, compliance)
• Experience on project management tools such as JIRA and insight on quality analysis as well
• Experience building a high performing team dn getting the best out of them

Additional Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing an organization with strong operational/devops culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
• Be comfortable outside of your comfort zone - explore new tech, tackling hard problems that others struggle to solve
