Software Engineer - Data Lake Record RetentionLocation(s) IN-BengaluruJob ID 2021-77891 Schedule Type Full Time Level Associate Function(s) Software Engineer Region India Division Engineering Business Unit Data Lake Employment Type Employee MORE ABOUT THIS JOB Record Retention OverviewRecord Retention team provides tools and services to the other teams in the firm to retain their documents in a systematic, comprehensive records retention/management program to ensure record policies are adequately enforced to mitigate risk and access the documents for any audit and other regulatory requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Responsibilities

  • Hands-on role developing software and functionality to be used across the firm
  • Produce high quality software tested, conformant to engineering best practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse multi-disciplined team
  • Leverage modern practices to develop software iteratively
  • Good Team player, motivated, self-organised and have good time & work management skills
  • Have an analytical mind set, with the confidence and ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to gather requirements, design and build the functionality
  • Ability to assist and guide juniors in the team
  • Appreciate and expose Agile principles and practices such as clean code and continuous delivery
Experience
  • Strong programming skills in Core and Advanced Java.
  • Java 8 experience including lambdas and streaming collections and a Good knowledge of java libraries, for example, Jersey, Jackson, Guava and Apache-Commons is an advantage
  • Experience using relational database such as Sybase, DB2
  • Developing Web applications and managing them in a production environment.
  • Excellent Communication, Influencing, Relationship building skills.
  • Passionate about improving Software Quality and driving best practices.
  • Experience with Agile Development methodology.
  • Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, Elasticsearch, Mongo DB, Kafka is an advantage
