Job Description

While we often work to aggressive deadlines, we recognize the importance of a work/life balance and are supportive of fitting your work around your life rather than the other way around.What youll doAs an Engineer at Cisco Defense Orchestrator, you will be working on one-week sprints in a fast-paced team to deliver a slick, fast, and consistent security policy management experience across the entire gamut of Cisco devices to our customers. You will:Participate in a fast-paced project team of engineers involved in the development of new, cloud-based Cisco security products.Contribute to all phases of software development from requirement gathering through implementation, testing, and maintaining multiple code modules.Contribute to the development of aggressive project goals and schedules.Create innovative solutions for complex technical problems.ResponsibilitiesHands-on development of CDOs front-end and infrastructure with the opportunity to learn and contribute to the rest of the technology stack.Participate as a member of a fast-paced project team of engineers involved in the development of new, cloud-based Cisco security productsContribute to all phases of software development from requirement gathering through implementation, testing, and maintaining multiple code modulesContribute to the development of aggressive project goals and schedulesCreate innovative solutions for complex technical problemsRequired Experience and SkillsGood technical experience in both core Java and Python, with a focus on scalability and security;SaaS experience or good understanding of public clouds such as AWS - S3, Kinesis, Firehose, LambdasKnowledge of Angular (v9+) & good understanding of JavaScript (ES2015+) and Typescript;Understanding of asynchronous programming principles (promises/generators / async-await)Drive and passion to bring new products to market in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Test Driven Development, and Agile engineering practices including Continuous IntegrationWorking knowledge of using a distributed version control system within a team environment (preferably Git)4 to 8 years of experience.Desired Experience and SkillsKnowledge of security technologies including firewalls and IPSExperience working in a start-up environmentExperience with infrastructure automation tools like TerraformExperience working on a SaaS productAgile software development experience.,
