Roles and Responsibilities*** Only candidate with strong working experience on Avionics DO-178B/C and DO254 Standard will be considered.BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (Aerospace, Defense and Marine or AD&M) business unit of the company is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. These interconnection solutions make possible applications of avionics, jet and propulsion engine management, flight controls, grounding systems and on- board entertainment for todays connected aircraft . This capability is extended to military, marine, aviation, space, land and drone vehicles, as well as oil and gas exploration of open-ocean deposits. The company offers solutions for enhanced connectivity that work and resist in the most extreme environments on Earth, from the deepest oceans to the ends of space. The company ADM business has significant presence in India and envisages to move up the value chain to deliver solutions to our customers at the system level. This requires ADM team in India to collaborate across full eco system from research institute to start ups, Industries bodies, other electronic companies and suppliers. Also, being in Bangalore offers opportunity for ADM to leverage the strong, vibrant innovation and start up eco system to build new technologies and solutions. ROLE OBJECTIVE The Manager (S/W and Systems Engineering) will plan, execute, and manage Software engineering projects within the Global and Local ADM BU.This role will interact with customers, stakeholders and outside business partners. The successful candidate will be able to effectively drive the project execution, communicate, influence customer, stakeholders and deliver projects on time and within budget meeting the customer requirements. The Successful candidate will be the lead member to establish the Global Software and Embedded Controls center of excellence (CoE) at ADM India. RESPONSIBILITIES Should be able to work globally and cross functionally with multisite System Engineers, Chief Engineers, Customers and business partners Knowledge of System Development concepts based on ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 Strong working experience on Avionics DO-178B/C and DO254 Standard and Moderate Knowledgeof DO160 Experience in FAA Certification documentation preparation will be an advantage Strong Experience on document software Requirements, Design, and validation/verification procedures Strong working experience developing Firmware/Software in C, C++, ANSI C Ability to deliver Software projects thru full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Development experience on smart PDU. Smart relays , Ethernet switches will be and added advantage. EDUCATION/ CRITICAL EXPERIENCE Bachelor or Master in Software Engineering or similar domain 12-15 years of professional experience in Embedded Software design/Development Experience in leading and developing teams Strong experience in o PIC microcontrollers and MPLABX o NXP S32K platform o Experience with bootloaders and software versioning o I2C, SPI, CAN, and other communication protocols o DMA, non-volatile memory Experience of working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds PREFERABLE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE TI MSP microcontrollers, or other platforms Aerospace industry experience Analog Design PCB schematic and capture EMI/EMC Design Circuit modelling RF design EMI/EMC test and measurement Matlab/Simulink Labview PLM / PDMLink COMPETENCIES Strong technical competencies in software verification and validation.
