Software Engineering - Associate (QA Automation Engineer) Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase s Controls and IT Risk agendas with a focus on risk reduction, stability, security, delivery, resiliency and efficiencies. CTC s focus on standardization, consistency and simplicity fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across JPMorgan Chase. The disciplines within this organization are Oversight & Controls Technology, Cloud Controls, Resiliency, Security, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management The Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) organization within CTC provides access control governance and Identity Services for all lines of business (LOBs) globally, providing the right access to the right people at the right time for all technology platforms and applications supported by CTC, and provides a comprehensive set of applications, tools, and staff to globally implement, monitor and manage technology risk solutions.The Identify Governance and Administration team (IGA) within GIAM is the lifecycle management of the access security configuration (Identity & Account Management). The primary focus being on standardization of the ecosystem, providing automated provisioning, end-to-end reconciliation, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Segregation of Duties (SOD) framework. As a Software Engineer, you will help our team of innovators and technologies towards creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.We are a progressive development team within the firm working on technology at a scale that is seldom found elsewhere in the world. We use agile methodologies in our development practices and believe that great software is developed through ongoing thoughtful conversation as opposed to a big upfront design. We re looking for true technologists who are driven by the desire to learn and push the boundaries of technology. Responsibilities : The ideal candidate is results-oriented who can handle many different roles such as:
• Work with stakeholders to review and understand the business requirements and design specifications
• Interact extensively with various on/off-site team members from their own teams, including members from other teams such as Function & Product, to understand application functionality and scope
• Involved in quality outcome of application hence ensure the deliverables meet the business requirements with no serious defects
• Responsible for setting up test data, tools, and databases to support integrated test environments and writing SQL queries wherever required for database testing.
• Work with the development team on defect triage
• Develop and maintain any of smoke, functional, and regression tests to ensure code is functioning as designed
• • Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed
  • Maintain well organized records of test results and historical analysis of test results
  • Become and remain proficient in all programs necessary to perform the everyday duties of this position
  • Exposure to software release/build process/SDLC required. Experience testing web services /APIs.
  • Monitor and execute tests on all projects under the responsible program portfolio; producing test reports of progress against time and quality, defects severity, distribution and priority rating, impact assessments, trends over the project, etc.
  • Understanding of different SDLC methodologies - Agile, or Waterfall software development processes
  • Ability to attain results, convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition, sets high standards of performance and pursues challenging goals

• Good understanding of:
  • Object oriented design & concepts
  • The software/product development life cycle
• Experience working in an Agile environment is desired
• Experience with data retrieval and validation using SQL or Oracle PL/SQL
• Framework knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium, Java, JUNIT and NUnit
• Proficient in SOAPUI or similar tools
• API testing knowledge includes testing RESTFUL, REST APIs or SOAP web services with JSON or XML message payloads being sent over HTTP, HTTPS, JMS, and MQ
• Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and test-driven development
• Experience with XML, Databases and SQL is required
• Experience on using CI/CD tools like SVN/Bitbucket, Jenkins is a plus
• Work closely with Development and QA teams to troubleshoot application errors and recommend changes for optimal performance, redundancy and scalability
• Develop scripts to support highly effective continuous integration technologies and processes
• Focus on moving towards automated processes with the following areas: builds, system/application monitoring & alerting, failover and scaling
• Continually improve operational processes and procedures within Development, QA, Staging and Production
• Experience in testing cloud based applications
