Job Description

What you ll achieveAs a Release Manager with the Embedded Controller team, you will be responsible for coordinating and producing all the releases for our Sustaining and New Product platforms. You will work with ODMs and the team to ensure timely delivery of all patches and development work, then produce builds along with the relevant release notes to be sent to ODMs for validation. This role will require knowledge of our code base, understanding of DevOps, and attention to detail. It is integral to the team s ability deliver well documented releases for our best in class solutions.You will:

  • Coordinate with platform teams and ODMs to determine the defects and new features needing to be ported into our platform code lines
  • Use git (or svn) and codebase knowledge to port requested code changes
  • Develop release notes
  • Handle any urgent release or intermediate releases requested
  • Develop strategies to keep releases on track and code stable
  • Develop strategies with our Automation teams on bench testing before delivery

  • BSEE, BSCE, BSCS or related degree plus 8+ years of current embedded software development experience
  • Familiarity with Git and/or SVN
  • Familiarity with branching strategies
  • Knowledge of C programming
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Embedded controller development with both single threaded/interrupt driven and real time OS.
Desirable Requirements
  • Familiarity with DevOps Jenkins, Artifactory, Coverity, BlackDuck
  • Familiarity with Scripting
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, as well as with using the Atlassian suite of tools (BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence)
