About Cloud & Network Services Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.Job Description We are looking for talented individuals with passion to develop high quality solutions and Proof of Concepts using the latest tools and technologies for our R&D Centre located in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidates should possess the desire to want to work within a role that will push and challenge you whilst affording you the opportunity to work across the full software development life cycle using agile methodology.Job Responsibilities & Competencies Key Responsibilities Performing the full cycle of delivering a successful solution; low level design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment, including documentation and presentation Identifying the fastest solution in the shortest time for PoC/demo purposes Presenting and demonstrating the solution, both internally & externally Working in a global team in different time-zone to put together solutions Taking ownership and a positive attitude to make it happen Requirements Bachelor s or Master s degree in technology or computing (studies in telecommunications is a plus) Experience of provisioning & activation, fulfillment & telecommunication protocols Experience in BPMN & UML to model processes Experience in Java development, scripting languages (shell, typescript, groovy) Working experience in Java technologies, frameworks, JUnit and IDEs such as Eclipse Basic knowledge of Databases (MariaDB, Apache Cassandra) Hands on working experience on Linux operating system, Cloud Services Platform (AWS, Azure) and Cloud-native containers/framework (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) Understands the different network technologies and protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, Rest Good understanding of software engineering processes including version control (using Git,Jenkins, Maven), testing and release cycles Basic understanding of modern Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum/XP/Kanban Ability to work under pressure and take an analytical approach to problem solving Genuine interest in technology, software development as well as high levels of self-motivation Good written and spoken English.
