Supply chain is the backbone of the Flipkart ecosystem. We in the automation team have the responsibility of making this supply chain faster, cost effective and error free.We in the Supply Chain automation team explore various solutions across the world available for automating the processes. We then customize the technology to our need and then design and deploy the solution across our network. As the nature of work is highly exploratory and innovative, team structure is flat and highly collaborative. Our team works closely with product and tech teams, design team, operations team, finance and commercial teams and multiple other stakeholders to get the project executed on time and within budget.At Flipkart, high focus on Impact and Ownership allows for freedom for each to experiment and innovate. The ability to see what your contribution does to the business is a rare experience, add to that the fact that the impact of it is felt by your friends and family in India - the experience is extremely gratifying.About the role:As part of the Supply chain Automation team, your primary stakeholder will be operations. You are expected to design and execute automation solutions which help operations do the activity faster, accurately and at lesser cost. This also needs to take into account considerations of design team, product and tech team and safety teams. Furthermore, you will also need business acumen to evaluate the project financially and get the required cost alignments from business finance. You will work closely with commercial team and external vendors to get the project going.What you ll do:
• You will work closely with Design, Automation, Process, Product teams and external stakeholders to design and execute automation projects end to end, on ground, within the stipulated cost
• You will be required to acquire and analyse relevant data for defining and baselining success metrics and then monitoring the same for the projects
• You will be required to document the design to handover process of automation for further usage by other stakeholders
• You will also work within the guard rails set by Safety, quality and commercial teams to achieve the end result
What you ll need:
• Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related discipline from a reputed Institute or an MBA from a reputed institute
• You have 3-4 years of experience in process/automation design and execution
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Technical capabilities: Excel, Design tools (AutoCAD)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements
