This position is a hybrid of a data analyst and a fee analyst within asset management. Our team supports Investment Solutions from inception of product or service, from to sales to delivery, as well as reporting and fee billing. Data mining regarding our investment products are cross referenced with clients investments and other behaviors (artificial intelligence) that requires the person in this role to review a mosaic of data that leads to identifying trends and helping to uncover opportunities.Major Responsibilities1. Preparing various metrics and revenue reports for senior management and other internal teams.2. Participating or leading various projects including but not limited to data validation, data analysis and data interpretation that support our strategic initiatives.3. Assist in developing new tools/improve existing tools to improve the team s analysis and reporting.4. Performing business unit accounting fee analyst functions, including but not limited to monthly and quarterly period end accruals and billing processes.5. Display a high level interpersonal skills and teamwork to achieve team and Northern Trust s goals.Experience and Skills Needed 4-year college degree - preferred in business related field 2 - 5 years investment, finance or accounting industry experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Data analysis and project management experience Strong analytical skills and investment products and the managed accounts industry Analytical skills and ability to provide various reports based on qualitative and quantitative information to identify trends Ability to research and resolve inquiries and issues Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines Good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners to work collaboratively Advanced or Power User level knowledge and experience in using the MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) VBA, R, Python knowledge preferred to develop database of qualitative and quantitative program and client reporting system Ability to adapt quickly to changeAdditional Information,
