Nokia is also the only end-to-end mobile network vendor working with the major operators around the world.Nokia is a leader in vRAN solution with virtualised vCU and vDU components, working towards O-RAN compliant solutions.-The individuals in the role described in this Job Opening are to work on the O-RAN FH and radio interface aspects of the VRAN solution.- Specifications & Solution creation for Cloud RAN Radio and Fronthaul interface- Work on vDU side compliance creation on O-RAN FH interface for CAT-A and CAT-B O-RUs- Creat FH/Radio solutions with Radio Units and FH network use cases based on customer needs- Guide possible FH interface optimizations (BW optimizations, SW processing optimizations)Job Responsibilities & Competencies- Individual controbutor role in the &AS department - meaning the person has to have good concepts and ability to put the ideas across to other experts- Individual has to be self organized and motivated to work in a muti-culture, multi-site/country environment- This is an end-to-end feature lifecyle role, include studying any prio-art/relevant concepts, proposing architecture solution for the various problems to be solved , writing the requirements to the SW components, and supporting testing phase and customer cases from A&S PoVKey technical Competencies required in this role:- Good background on LTE/5G RAN - concepts of network architecture and radio protocols/procedures- Specific competence on the Radio L1/L2 protocols, Fronthaul interface including CPRI/eCPRI and various functions and procedures include fast control plane, M-plane, U-plane- Good RRM concepts to be able to derive FH impacts due to RRM features, e.g. mMIMO/Beamforming features, pooling (UE/PRL/Spacial layers etc.) etc.- Good understanding of O-RAN FH compliane requirements- Work experience on RAN real time SW or protocols like Packet Scheduler, L1, Event Machine, etc. is added valueQualificationsAt least B.E/B.Tech , preferaly Masters in Science or M.Tech from a reputed college.
