The services are based on structured product facts, search query understanding and shopping context awareness. These services support millions of products and customers globally. CSE partners with engineering, science, business and operations teams in Amazon globally to bring these products and services to life. CSE is looking for a seasoned BI who will oversee the execution of new customer experiences to improve core shopping experiences and data defects for Consumables.You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling data, building ETLs, building reports and dashboards. We are looking for someone who will scope and execute analyses & design metrics to deepen our understanding and develop key insights. You will work closely with the senior management to provide decision support in a rapidly evolving space.This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions as well as outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and driven by a desire to innovate. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a desire to learn and implement new solutions driving the future of big data and data analysis.Key Responsibilities Work with business customers to gather requirements and deliver complete data reporting and analytical solutions Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and analyses used to drive key business decisions Execute analytical projects employing an understanding of analytical methods, Data Modeling and Data pipeline development. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, accuracy, and reliability, as well as documentation Drive data democratization throughout the organization, enabling others to self-serve their data needs Extract insights from data and clearly communicate appropriate recommended actions effectively to senior leadership., Basic qualifications Bachelor s degree or higher in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar, or equivalent professional experience 6+ years of work experience in data analysis, data engineering, applied statistics, data science or similar field. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects, specifically with large volume data sets. Proficiency in quantitative analytics and advanced analytical tools. Experience working with SQL, database technologies (Oracle/SQl Server/Redshift etc) and BI Tools. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases Experience partnering with business owners directly to understand requirements and develop data analytical solutions to assist the decision making. Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams and develop clear, thoughtful, and comprehensive analyses. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing competing priorities simultaneously and driving projects to completion Experience with Big Data solutions and experience working with analytical tools like Tableau, OBIEE etc. Experience or deep knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning and statistical analysis tools and technologies. Experience working with AWS products like Redshift, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Athena is a plus
