The primary responsibility of this role would be to modernize, strategize, and deliver all end user computing (desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers, and infrastructure/tools, applications & systems for managing end points) client engineering, operations, and service desk for the entire company. It would also entail proactively identify, investigate and resolve technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution - by bringing in new technology, intelligence and transformational approach to solving issues & problems. This role will also have to keep exploring newer opportunities, technologies in delivering end user services like VDI, etc. In parallel the role of the director will also have to work with Intel business groups on defining new technologies to enhance Intels roadmap for enterprise client computing and we can leverage it in IT to become customer number 1!Managing end user computing in a new normal that all of us are experiencing and living in which requires one to think out of the box as well as innovatively on service delivery as well as new technologies that will enable the workforce to be productive and efficient.A good understanding of Service Management principles as well managing a Service Desk that caters to the large global employee base will also be an important tenet for this role. Customer Obsession would be the corner stone for this role and driving initiatives which align to this fundamental requirement for the role.The role will entail managing a blended resource team (employees, managed services vendors and on demand contractors). This role will have to weigh on decisions to procure end user devices from our vendors and determining what would be the right strategy for the organization to manage it current and future requirements. This role will also have to manage white glove/executive support services for the senior leadership in the company and proactively manage all end user computing requirements for that segment of employee base. This role will also be responsible for all end user computing requirements related to M&As and divestitures.This role will be a part of the Enterprise Operations Organization in IT and will report into the VP/GM Enterprise Operations GroupQualificationsRequirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in computer science, information technology, or related technical field 7+ years of proven personnel management experience in a support organization; 8+ years of proven information technology experience especially in the end user compute space. Experience managing a blended resource model that includes employees, managed services partners and on demand resources to deliver excellent customer service Demonstrated experience managing a sophisticated ticket management system (ServiceNow preferred) Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with a proactive and agile approach to communication, coordination and escalation management Experience implementing and/or maintaining a knowledge management platform - bringing in new age technology platforms, AI/ML, etc which will Subject matter expert in ITIL and supporting end user computing technologies (desktop interfaces, applications, mobility) Strong analytic and problem-solving skills across a range of technologies (in particular, integration across Microsoft Office products and Mac, MDM, MEM, etc) Work closely with the Enterprise Architects and develop business and reference architectures for the organization. Develop 18 months, and 36 months roadmap of services and experiences to be delivered within the End user computing space Ensure all end user computing complies to key regulatory, information security, and organizational policies and procedures. Develop and be accountable for partnership needed with strategic vendors to deliver amazing end to end user computing services and experience. Manage financials for achieving best in class TCO for end user computing. Engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with variety of stakeholder (within IT and the business units) to innovate, modernize, and deliver the services.
