  • You will be responsible to lead and participate in architecture, design and develop key modules of the Unravel product -- data sensors collecting telemetry data across 1000s of nodes; aggregating and persisting data across scale-out technologies such as Kafka, Elastic; write scalable data processing code to analyze and transform data in a scalable and robust fashion.
  • You will be contributing to developing Unravel s AI platform that supports intelligent observability of Big Data technologies (such as Spark, Hive, Impala, ELK, Kafka, Presto, etc.) both on-premise as well as all the major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • The position is at Unravel s India Development centre (located in Bangalore and Pune).
About you
  • Expert in programming with Java with strong understanding of multi-threading, event management, data processing concepts. Good understanding of JVM internals and serialisation protocols such as gRPC, Protobuf, Thrift.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in developing high performance scalable applications with Java.
  • Strong in analytical, design and problem solving skills, with a strong desire to create new things, dive in wherever there s a need, and learn new things.
  • Previous experience as a data engineer building large scale data processing systems, analytics platforms, recommendation engines, and so on is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, DataBricks and cloud architecture is a plus
