Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 KDescription:A Staff Engineer - Device Software for the India Development Centre (IDC) is responsible for the development of medical device Software in line with Radiometer quality management systems.The product is an Arterial blood gas analyzer (ABL90, ABL800) that runs on customized Windows OS with the Software application that runs on top of it.Responsibilities:

• Help develop software requirements from product requirements.
• Shall be able to develop, Analyze and design new and existing architectures.
• Knowledgeable on Design patterns
• Create, design, code, and unit test modules/components
• Develop Rapid SW prototypes on New Windows OS releases with the legacy application code.
• Investigate software bugs working closely with the hardware and systems using a variety of techniques and provides innovative solutions.
• Contribute to the documentation as required by Radiometer internal product development processes
• Work with cross-functional and remote teams
• International. Travel required is maximum 1-2 weeks in a year on business needs and subject to business travel restrictions.

Key Accountabilities & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (OR)
• Master s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology with a minimum of 15+ years of experience
• Good understanding of software development processes, preferably for a regulated medical devices environment (IEC 62304) or HealthCare domain.
• Advanced understanding & extensive coding experience in VB, C++, C#.
• Hands on experience developing applications on Win 7, Win 10 Operating systems.
• Good understanding of SW build process and scripting using PowerShell.
• Experience with TFS, Visual Studio 2015, SonarQube (static analysis) is desirable
• Solid understanding of Agile SW Development Trained in SAFe Methodologies is desirable
• Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams.
• Flexibility to work on different areas of the product/platform.
• In-depth knowledge of SW Quality and metrics
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills Six sigma, DBS (internal candidates only)

• Attention to details & doesn t shy away from rolling the sleeves and coding.
• Ability to work with partners in a global environment & mentor the team on technical aspects.
• Fast Learner with a great team player attitude.
• Working experience in Healthcare Therapeutic and diagnostic devices
• Good understanding of various S/W architectures
• Travel required is only 10-15% and only on need basis.
