The Infrastructure as a Service team provides private and public cloud infrastructure - compute (VMs, CPUs, GPUs and Bare metals), storage (CEPH), SDN and container platform. The Software Development Environment SDE team provides world class CI/CD pipelines, workflow automation, repositories and OneOps deployment tool providing ultimate DevOps power to developers for continuous delivery. The application foundation team provides multi-tenant managed services for authz, messaging (JMS, Kafka), caching, externalized gateways, cloud configuration, massive centralized log search farm, telemetry, Cassandra/Oracle/MySql/MS-QL/Cloud RDBMS for the developer community of Walmart.Your Opportunity:GTP Data Consulting team provides the best means to take advantage of the cloud by providing outstanding tools, services, assistance and knowledge, so every customer realizes their goals and desired value. GTP Data Consulting team s mission is to build speciality skills, intellectual capital, methodologies, and associates dedicated to providing the resources needed to ensure Walmart application teams successfully move and operate in the cloud. As part of GTP Adoption Consulting team, you are expected to work closely with the application development teams in Walmart and assist them in designing and building robust cloud native solutions that support the business goals. The consultant will act in a pre-project role, and is chartered to develop a comprehensive cloud-native solution in support of the application development team s needs and vision. Your Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation for implementing solutions that solve business problems
• Advise and assist customers with objective and specialized technical expertise
• Connect customers with technical partners
• Augment customer engineering through direct participation in critical priorities
• Deploy immediate engineering assistance for critical challenges
• Evaluate (Dog Food) GTP tools prior to customer delivery and represent customer interests
• Pre-project assessment and qualification activities for rolling out cloud native solutions
• Present to customer on technical topics and advice on the use of existing blueprints
• Contribute to intellectual capital through technical best practices development, knowledge base article creation and code share repositories.
• You will be working as a technical evangelist and a design/architecture consultant. Hands on involvement is expected when it comes to implementing the ideas.
• This is a consulting/evangelistic role

Qualification

• Bachelors or Master s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10-15 years of experience, including exposure to enterprise application architecture, design and implementation experience
• Good communication skills with ability to understand a business problem and provide a suitable technical solution to the problem
• Ability to collect requirements, list out action items and drive the engagements effectively
• Industry experience in cloud technologies and stacks (IaaS/PaaS) Azure/GCP, load balancing, developing for HA/DR etc.
• Expertise in relational and no-sql database technologies. Preferred MS SQL, Oracle, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Cassandra, MySQL etc.
• Should be an expert on distributed data base architectures, and cloud native data designs.
• Expertise in messaging technologies. Preferred Kafka, Event Hub etc.
• Expertise with search stores/recommendation systems Elastic Search, Solr etc.
• Familiarity with data streaming and data warehouse systems
• Good understanding of object oriented programming, distributed application development, service discovery, application design concepts & design patterns.
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes production grade implementation
• Understanding of frameworks surrounding application development like load balancing, telemetry, APM tools, database, caching, logging and other cross cutting concers.

• Hands on experience with Java 8+, J2EE
