Job Description

    Good Knowledge in Manufacturing process such as mold design, stamping, machining. Capable of drawing reading & understanding impact of tolerance w.r.t. Manufacturability. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient in MS office suite; advanced Excel, Power point. Previous SAP experience or training a plus. Ability for periodic travel requiredDesired Candidate profileEDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEBachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.CRITICAL EXPERIENCEAbility to work in self-directed environment with minimal supervision. 3 to 6 years of professional experience with focus on Machining, Plating, Stamping, Electronics commodities. Act as an interface between supply base and internal customer to provide project support from RFQ till first 3 lots production and hand over to supply chain team. Participate/Support supplier development efforts based on technical deficiencies or areas of weak performance. This can include developing a corrective action plan to address non-compliant issues. Working with TE portal support, TE procedure and processes. Participate in the development and deployment of multi-year strategies for major commodities like Machining, plating, molding, stamping and Castings. Identify and implement cost savings projects related to the all the above commodities. Support supplier identification on new product introduction (NPI) as required Extend the TE Operational Advantage (TEOA) into the supply base to generate continuous improvement through the supplier lead projects.
