Job Description

    Reporting to the Director for Business Strategy & Transformation, the Strategy Leader will play an instrumental role in shaping, influencing the future direction of the company s supply chain strategy and resulting manufacturing and repair services footprint requirements. This position requires close collaboration with senior leadership from Supply Chain, Finance, the Product Operations, Tax, Sourcing, Legal, Regulatory, HR and others. This position is focused on Supply Chain evaluation and enablement of Cisco s next-gen business models strategies, Supply Chain Network strategy to reduce costs and obtain maximum value for our customers enabling strategic business growth. This role demands strong leadership, program management and process discipline skills required to assemble and lead cross-functional teams of subject matter experts. Given the nature of the work, the individual will interact with and present regularly to senior executives.Who Youll Work with:Youll be directly working with Supply Chain Global Manufacturing Operations- Business Transformation Team. In addition, youll also be working with other Supply Chain functions such as GSM, GP&F, SCT, T&Q, IT and cross functional teams such as Tax, Customs, Finance.Key Deliverables Include: Lead projects and develop comprehensive business solutions and recommendations that improve operational efficiency, supply chain optimization, supply chain enablement of new business models, reduce network complexity and improve margins. Actively participate in a variety of strategic business processes, leading evaluations, incubations of ideas to support a variety of business objectives. Lead the financial/transition due diligence process for making transition (investment) decisions including cash flow and profit and loss payback, net present value and internal rate of return analysis. Integrate business, product and manufacturing strategies which contribute to the development of our strategic footprint roadmapSpecific Responsibilities Include: Develop and deliver comprehensive results for all assigned projects through the strategy phases of the project. Proven comprehensive financial analysis skills which enable development and evaluation of complex business transactions; deliver comprehensive project financial profiles and economic modeling using collaboratively-led efforts and established tools and processes. Partner with execution program managers and other cross functional subject matter experts to facilitate team initiation, project plan development and transition planning and execution milestone management. Partner with business and product teams to deliver solutions for variety of requirements Develop understanding of product strategies and strategic global manufacturing & logistics business needs. Be an active contributor to support the development, options, trade-offs and scenarios for a variety of business cases Support ad-hoc senior leadership requests with necessary analyses and organization inputs. Required Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Science, Technical or related discipline; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing company in two or more of the following disciplines: Operations, M&A, Finance, Engineering, Program Management, Planning or Sourcing. Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role. Politically astute; ability to navigate complex organizations; demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence in a cross functional, matrixed team environment. Strategic thinking with the ability and experience to develop, implement and document strategies and execution plans for long term initiatives. Must be highly motivated, goal and results oriented,demonstrates a bias for action and disciplined execution. Demonstrated ability to think creatively; anticipate problems and opportunities; develop and implement vision. Effective change agent,can lead change, think out of the box, & make new ideas happen. Ability to communicate vision and strategy. Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong cross-functional relationships. High energy individual with superior verbal & written communication & presentation skills; ability to communicate at executive levels inside and outside the company. Multi-theater global business experienceAdditional Qualifications: Advanced degree Combined Finance, Consulting, and/or Operations leadership experience Six Sigma Green Belt Certification PMI or APICS certification Six Sigma, Lean or Black Belt Certification ,
