About Business Function:Retail Operations team at Flipkart is a pivotal function that manages the forward and reverse material flow between vendor/supplier and Flipkart as a part of Inventory led business at Flipkart. We operate at mammoth scale of 30+ warehouses and 1000+ vendors/suppliers on Pan India basis. We function as a command centre that manages operations through numbers, by aligning stakeholders & setting the right processes. We are an extended team to operations primarily focused on designing new processes, building new business policies to shape vendor behaviour and optimise working capital stuck in various legs of the retail processesWhat are we looking for:A self-motivated, talented and a sharp professional who has prior experience of handling operations independently. Individual must possess exceptional analytical skills and ability to handle and understand data sets. Individual must have expertise, in terms of overall industry, supply chain capabilities in top players and best practices for one or more industries FMCG, Electronics, Large Appliances, Mobiles, Fashion. Individual must have stakeholder management skills along with decision taking capabilities. Individual must have good communication skills & must be able to adapt to continuously changing business needs.What this job entails:- Will be part of central OneOps team responsible for engaging with select vendors and understanding their internal processes, challenges and capabilities.- Will be responsible for understanding the hurdles in Flipkart & vendor processes, analysing the challenges and solving for them by aligning stakeholders, defining business guardrails and executing them with product and operations teams.- Analyse Flipkart processes against best practices and benchmark against industry.- Take data driven decisions and drive stakeholder buy-in through discussions and negotiations.- Role demands understanding operations through numbers and is desirable to index on data interpretation skills. He/she must understand regular ambiguities and use them to solution long term policies for minimizing process breaches.- Role would involve fair bit of data modelling, simulation & setting up correct dashboards using R /Excel/ Tableau.- He/She will be expected to set several visibility formats that will be used to interpret the health of operations.- Role would involve fair bit of travel to vendor locations to develop mutual understanding of the metrics and processes.- Will be responsible for the operational efficiency of the process and will be measured on metrics like Fill Rates, Lead Time, Variances etc. He/she will be working with a cross-functional team spread across Category functions and Ekart downstream supply functions.Preferred Background & Skills:- Education: BE/Btech/MTech from tier I institutes such as IIT/NIT/BITs only (mandatory)- Knowledge of E-commerce, Processes, and Policies preferred- 4 to 7 years experience in running operations at scale using numbers- Proficient at Data Analysis, Modelling & dashboarding using R, Excel, Tableau (Mandatory)- Ability to translate strategies into execution plan and take them to completion- Highly Analytical- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills- Ability to connect with people across teams and levelsPosted On :Location:Bangalore, IndiaAbout Flipkart:In 2007, we started our journey by selling books online.
