Job Description

    Software Development Engineer (NMS)Infinera NM team is looking for a Software Engineer who is open to the challenge of building a new softwareplatform. Deployed in computing platforms, ranging from large datacenters to systems with very limitedcomputing power, the product is being developed with a horizontally scalable, event driven, MicroService architecture.The ideal candidate is passioned for Cloud Architecture, Open-Source Software, Internet of Things andis ready to incorporate those into a recently started product for full stack aware developmentAs a Software Development Engineer at Infinera you will work in a cross-functional, agile team developing NMS products. You will work in open environment in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. Our work includes everything from product concept to finished product - a process that spans over the entire development chain. The team takes full responsibility that a new feature is delivered on time with the right quality using state of the art continuous integration pipelines. We strive for fully automated test suites both on unit, function, and system level.As a software development engineer, you will be responsible for system design and programing ensuring the functionality and quality of Infineras products before the new features and enhancements are released to end users. This means that you will work with most of the companys portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding.Education Necessary: Candidates must have a bachelors degree or higher in CS or EE with very good academicsRoles & Responsibilities:Pick development tasks from the teamDesign and implement new functions using required technologies such as such as Dockers, Hibernate, JMS, YANG, YAML, JSON etc.Peer code reviewsUse agile development using tools such as, JIRA, GIT, Confluence and CI/CD with JenkinsDebug along with hardware and software engineersTechnical Skill Required:Programing Languages - Java, Python, JavaScriptDatabase Systems: SQL(Oracle/Postgre)SW Platforms: Cloud based container providers AWS/Azure/GC, Angular/ReactJS(Good to have)Architecture paradigms: Event Driven Architecture (e.g. Kafka, NATs), REST Interface based systemsExperience Necessary for Success:Experience 4+ years within SW developmentExperience in Product Development, or Full stack developmentFlexible, innovative, and drivenStructured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skillsHighly motivated team playerAgile way of workingDriven and willing to take own initiativesWe offer:A high pace in development of new products.Tight cooperation with other disciplinesShort product development cycles, Real results of your work, you will see how it affects our products and sales.Possibilities of development and internal advancementSocial and wellness activities and in house sports activities including a gymA friendly and helpful atmosphereHighly competent and motivated colleaguesInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
