Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Role: Develop the system documents, including plans, specifications and other technical documents..Responsibilities
  • Develop the system documents, including plans, specifications and other technical documents.
  • Apply the system engineering processes.
  • Ensure that the system technically fulfils the defined needs and enhancements (change requests) and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed.
  • Ensure technical consistency and alignment with the other System & Product Design teams / or / Project Engineering teams throughout the development, providing technical support to V&V, and support to Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Analysis. Interact with other System Engineers and with other M tier engineers to that ensure the design fits with the intended architecture.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation:
  • BE/B.Tech/M.Tech with 4 to 6 years of experience in writing the System level specifications.
Behavioural competencies:
  • Strong Communication and Inter-personnel skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with different people and teams of people by putting others at ease.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining effectiveness
Technical competencies and experiences
  • Experienced in writing the system level specification
  • Knowledge on signalling system (interlocking, ATC and ATS)
  • Autonomy and proactivity are a key success factors for this job.
  • Preferred from Engineering Captive Units or signalling companies.
Experience/Skill set
  • Mandatory : Signalling domain knowledge, XML, System specification
  • Optional : DOORS (Requirement management and Traceability)
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language
