Job Description

    Storage Support NTT DATA will manage and provide support service for storage systems for the following in-scopeTechnologies EMC, NetApp and HPNTT DATA s responsibilities for management of the storage will include:Perform health checks and proactive configuration management like reviewing criticalconfiguration settings on storage environment, proactively responding to changes, periodicallyreviewing logs and triage and take action when requiredProvide Out of Hours On-Call support for P1 or critical incidents. P1 or critical incidents areaddressed 24x7x365 days. Outside of the Business Hours, P1 or Critical incidents are handledthrough On-Call Support.Perform availability monitoring as part of incident resolution on storage systems, includinginfrastructure availability (e.g. ping and heartbeat)Resolve incidents relating to the storage systemsTrack and confirm that storage environment and associated software inventory is correctlyrecorded in CMDBSupport the software troubleshooting and upgrade processes, including vendor coordination forstorage related software based on client-purchased maintenance agreements from the OEMVerify storage operability after maintenance activitiesMaintain policy and procedure documentation for storage administrationProactive system optimisation and maintenance as requiredTroubleshoot and report performance and space utilisationSupport restoration activities from backup upon client requestCreate and manage local accounts, including service accounts where applicableRemove end user accounts, roles and revoke permissions, modify permissions or remove loginsas requested by clientApply configuration changes to file System/LUNC/Volume level permissions including disablingDocuSign Envelope ID: 1A86924F-AD55-4EB3-A8DA-DFA5EA1F411ECOMMERCIAL IN CONFIDENCE 15unnecessary services/daemonsImplement and periodically verify that the authentication and access settings of the storage systems and SAN switches/directors conform to policiesUnlock accounts, including service accounts, and reset passwords based on receiving authorised requestsConfigure, troubleshoot, and manage the storage systems (SAN/NAS) and associated SAN switches/directors configurations for integration with client s applications and/or database technologiesPeriodically review storage systems and SAN switches/directors logs and act upon any issues found. Maintain system security logging and associated configuration to capture all relevant informationAssist application support teams and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot storage systems functionality and performance issues and to provide configuration management supportApplying system patches as appropriate in line with the agreed patch management processTroubleshoot and remediate problems in the High Availability-supported environment or replication configurations to validate that the supported environment is able to fail over as designedStorage environment provision/decommission as requested by clientManage storage management software version upgradesLiaise with 3rd-party suppliers and vendors where required as part of incident resolutionUse reasonable endeavours to support the storage software / tool where at a level not supported by the OEMTroubleshoot performance issues using client-provided toolsetPerform relevant remediation actions on storage environment raised as a result of disaster recovery exercise or vulnerability assessmentParticipate as resolver party in Priority One resolution process (owned and managed by client s service management team)Customer responsibilities will include: Monitoring by the eir SMC for Critical Incidents for the Mainframe infrastructure.As appropriate, where feasible and if requested by NTT DATA, approve a test environment for the deployment and update of any software/system required as part of incident resolution and/or changeProvisioning, managing and supporting the eir networkJob Segment: Mainframe, Cloud, Testing, Database, Technical Support, Technology ,
