Systems Development Engineer(SQL SERVER DBA, Linux, Virtualization)Our customers system requirements are usually highly complex.   • Design, develop and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting complex solutions using Dell Technologies and Partners products
  • Work on physical/logical infrastructure components, and prepare configuration, execute validation testing, tune environment parameters, and document the results
  • Work closely with other Dell ISG groups to propose and lead technology incubation and prototype projects that create differentiation and add value to Dell s solutions in line with customer and industry trends
  • Help set roadmap direction closely working with Product Management creating vertical solutions for specific Microsoft SQL Server use cases
  • Inform and influence product groups in the adoption of new technologies
  • Maintain relationships with partners engineering teams and track their technology roadmap to remain aware of new developments
  • Drive integration of Dell products with technology partners products to build end-to-end solutions
  • Represent Dell in technology conferences, customer briefings, partner forums, and other venues to represent Dell, discuss technology direction, and showcase/present Dell s Microsoft SQL Server solutions.
  • Work with sales teams on high complexity opportunities to provide technical guidance on solution design and help conduct RFPs/RFIs
  • Contribute to IP creation via patents, technical conference publications, participation in research activities working with Engineering and CTO peers
Essential Requirements
  • Should have 3-6 years in SQL Server DBA, hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (latest version 2019) installation and configuration and optimization from a solution point of view.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administrative activities and Windows OS, Linux, VMware ESXi / Microsoft Hyper-V & performance characterization methodologies.
  • hands-on experience in scripting (Powershell/ Shell Scripting / Python)
  • Experience with MS SQL Server benchmark tools and related industry-standard benchmark tools (TPC- C, TPC-H, TPC-E)
  • Must have the ability to write and publish Technical white papers and Reference configurations
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in capacity planning and sizing activities for database solutions.
  • Experience in writing technical white papers would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dell Technologies products is a plus
  • Must have a B.E/ BTech degree in Computer Science or ECE
  • Should have knowledge of Enterprise Server Hardware and Storage and network
