Job Description

Nasdaq Technology is looking for a passionate and performance driven Specialist with the focus in playing a key role Planning, engineering and developing solutions for various critical traditional compute, on-prem and public cloud Observability environments in the enterprise and join the Bangalore technology center in India. With this position we offer:You will join the operations team for Nasdaq Observability group as Systems Operations Senior Specialist. The main objective of this team in Bangalore is to developing solutions for various critical traditional compute, on-prem and public cloud Observability environments in the enterprise. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members and will also be responsible for delivery of enhancements.Your role and responsibilities:As Systems Operations Senior Specialist, the main focus is on Metrics and event generation systems for application and infra monitoring (log, metrics events) , covering existing and as well as cloud provider monitoring services. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

  • Drive engineering and certification of metrics and event generation observability products.
  • Development of custom tooling extension and integrations of monitoring tools with external systems, such as CMDB s, and other intermediate observability tooling systems.
  • Planning, engineering and developing solutions for various critical traditional compute, on-prem and public cloud Observability environments in the enterprise.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews. Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks.
  • Innovate and mature SRE and DevOps practice from reactive to proactive to predictive leveraging AI/ML to refine alerting, reduce noise, improve MTR, autonomically heal, and detect issues before they manifest in production.
  • Help service owners build realistic SLOs, set SLAs and error budgets, and ensure production services have reliability built into their design
We expect you to have :
  • At least 8-10 years of software development experience
  • Experience in Engineering 3rd party observability software products such as Appdynamics, Splunk, and Datadog
  • Fluency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and ability to debug code locally and remotely with strong understanding of all levels of a distributed system
  • Experience with software delivery and documentation tools like Bit bucket, Artifactory, Gitlab, JIRA Confluence
  • Experience in automation using Ansible and Terraform
  • Bachelor/Master in computer science.
It would be great if you know:
  • Knowledge of Docker containers Kubernetes.
  • Experience with JavaScript, React, PHP, etc.
  • Knowledge on more specialized area, such as financial markets, finance, or mathematics related.
