Job Description

    As a lead engineer/senior engineer your primary responsibility will be to lead /participate in the creation and maintenance of User Interface and underlying framework for new and existing products from requirement to launch as part of a cross functional team involved in the development of equipment control and automation SW. You will be required to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain, and document software changes for new requirements, enhancements and defects and also provide technical and technological mentoring to the development team.Perform analysis, design and implementation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, processes, and product / program requirementsEngage with global teams to effectively translate customer requirements to software requirements and identify potential solutions that are optimized to operate with in constraints of the productTroubleshoot variety of complex software problemsProvide timely status updates and proactive communications on issues to the stakeholders.Able to interface with internal and external stake holders regarding software issues.Contribute as part of teams put together to meet overall organization initiatives/objectivesHave the ability and willingness to acquire in-depth understanding of domain and existing products (beyond software) and apply that knowledge to develop new products and to deliver enhancements/ fixes for customer requirements.As a Lead:Guide team efforts towards successful deliverables.Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentoringAble to effectively manage escalations and operate under crisisEducational Requirements:Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with appropriate experience in required skillsExperience:7+ years of experience in product software development in in developing and sustaining UI frameworks and complex user interfaces and also custom controls ((some of which in Tech Lead role)Prior experience of working in global teams and interfacing with multiple stake holdersDemonstrated ability to meet objectives, goals and deadlines with minimal supervisionSkills Set:C#, WinForms/Wpf (expert level - WinForms/Wpf internals understanding),REST/SOAP, Web services, ClickOnce,developing custom controls,Image renderingSource control tools such as ClearCase, GitMethodical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills,
