Job Description

This is a Technical Specialist - Application Development role, reporting to the Team Manager in Business Area Motion and located in Bangalore. You will be involved in the development and testing of applications/product software as per the product requirement specifications. You will also be involved in reviewing the applications developed by software engineers and ensuring that they meet required project standards.Your responsibilities

  • Understanding overall system and product requirements and be able to distill into SW product development requirements.
  • Performing software-focused development activities on system/ product projects, including design, coding and unit testing of software modules in line with the quality management system.
  • Developing new and adapted design of software modules, system setups and system integration.
  • Reviewing SW implementation under development by the software engineers.
  • Supporting the product owner and scrum master in coordinating for providing, receiving the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the global architects and product management team.
  • Identifying system scenarios to be tested and provides inputs on creation of test
  • Supporting project manager in the estimation of man hours required for the execution of the project deliverables.
  • Designing supports the product owner in creating the implementation proposals and designing documents and ensuring software solutions integrate into the systems solution to meet the functional design specifications.
  • Resolving customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products as per the agreement with the L3 and L4 technical support teams.
  • Ensure the adherence of defined configuration management guidelines & plans and generating new ideas participating in hackathons, seminars and technical conferences.

Your background
  • Bachelor or a master s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering or equivalent skill level.
  • Should have 7-10 years of experience in software application/product design and development with understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and tools.
  • Good Proficiency in the Microsoft Technology and development.
  • Experience with design and development of Industrial Application software using Microsoft Technologies (C#, WPF, .NET 4.8, .Net Core) and involved in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Good knowledge of communication over HTTP, HTTPS , SOAP protocols with other devices or applications.
  • Working knowledge of usage of Infragistics controls for charting applications is desirable.
  • Fair knowledge on Databases like SQL Server, Firebird, SQL Lite.
  • Knowledge of technology for the web such as Web sockets, React JS will be an advantage to work in future.
  • Exposure to work in Industrial automation environment will be an added advantage.
