DevOps (CI/CD) - Technical Specialist (Officer)The DevOps Specialist is responsible for the effective planning and delivery of DevOps project deliverables for SSGA. This individual will have solid Hands on technical experience, with demonstrated project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills.In this role, individual needs to utilize coding skills and automation expertise, interact and collaborate with diverse geographically distributed teams, and to establish best practice/guideline for application build and deploy. This individual is responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved.NOTE: This role will require 70-80% hands on Technical work, training, coaching and guiding the Junior members technically and rest 10-20% working with Global stakeholders, strategy planning, execution and people Management. WE are not looking for someone with aspiration of People Manager ONLYWork Hours:Monday - Friday 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST. (Should be flexible to work in any hours as per the need, along with being on call for weekend and urgent situations outside these hours).Basic Qualifications: Experienced Engineering leader with 9 years experience out of which at least 7 year Hands on experience in leading DevOps projects technically, in heterogenous environments. Consulting, Architect, implementation experience in BFSI domain will be preferred.

• Candidate should be a B.Tech/B.E/Masters degree in Computer Science
• Excellent understanding of Continuous Development and Continuous Delivery
• Excellent knowledge and experience DevOps Pipeline
• Excellent understanding of SDLC process
• Excellent understanding of Development Challenges in highly regulated Financial sector
• Solid understanding of regulatory controls in Build and Deploy
• ITIL/PMP/Six Sigma Certifications Is a Plus
• Cloud and Linux certifications is a Plus
• Must have experience in Leading and Managing a DevOps team

Essential Skills:

• Expert in Designing and Implementing DevOps Stack preferable with Atlassian stack Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and FishEye/Crucible
• Expert knowledge with Hands on experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory & Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, Fisheye/Crucible, JFrog, JIRA, Confluence)
• Must have expert level experience in Designing and Implementing Pipeline
• Nice to have an expertise in Elastic Search, IBM Jazz, Rational Team Concert and ClearQuest
• Knowledge & Understanding of (including configuring and adopting) build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle
• Must be able to write shell scripting, Python, Groovy
• Expertise in Agile, DevOps/Release Engineering, and Automated deployment processes
• Experience with Linux and Windows
• Hands on; i.e. willing to revamp/optimize Ant or Maven scripts
• Experience in Java and .net (Windows) build and debug
• Experience in creating and designing build and deployment pipeline
• Experience and configuration management tools
• Knowledge of Security analysis and penetration testing tools
• Understanding of Automated Testing and Monitoring

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a DevOps team that provides tooling and guidelines in technology operations with a focus on continuous improvement
• Create and drive architecture vision for technologies supporting CI/CD strategy
• Plan product roadmap and delivery schedule for new features with a focus on automation
• Manage communication of new features to community stakeholders for CI/CD
• Hold community sessions to determine what issues teams are facing designing solutions to remedy
• Enhance metrics emitted from CI/CD tools to give instant feedback if something breaks
• Analyze data and derive metrics that describe effective CI/CD measures (MTTR, MTTF, MTTR)
• Set up and maintain software development tools spanning source control, continuous integration/delivery, code review, templates etc.
• Develop and maintain the best practice standards that meets the industry standards
• Design and deliver support and service solutions in line with ITIL and/or industry best practice
• Monitoring the effectiveness of the team against SLA/KPI s, driving through change as needed to deliver continual service improvement
• Ensure operational procedures and practices are well defined, documented and consistently applied
• Work closely with the product development teams to ensure that the stack meets their requirement
• Take responsibility for escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required
• Influence stakeholders and ensure compliance within many technology domains that comply with technical and business requirements
• Serve as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy by convincing decision makers across SSGA
• Experience building technical teams including hiring, training, development, coaching and mentoring
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with application owners, IT Management, developers and vendors
• Strong written communication skills
• Identify development needs of staff and assist them in addressing their development needs through guidance and coaching
