Job Description

Role Title: PTC Windchill RV&S (PTC Integrity) Specialist Role Purpose: Support, Maintain, optimize, customize & improve current Windchill RV&S (PTC Integrity) Installation at GKN Key Responsibilities User and Project Administration for both Windchill RV&S Systems Windchill RV&S System Configuration: configure Windchill RV&S to support the Automotive Product Development Process (ASPICE) Data Model Configuration: configuration of PTC Windchill RV&S solution modules in accordance with internal customer requirements (Requirements Management, Project Management, Change & Defect Management, Version & Variant Management, Test Management and Source Management, System Management) User Interface Configuration: configuration of common viewsets for different roles, queries, workflows, item fields, dashboards, charts, reports & metrics etc. Collaborate with internal customers and engineering management to identify engineering IT requirements aligned with the ASPICE ePowertrain Engineering strategy. Analyse and document business processes in the environment of extended PLM (PDM, ALM, RM). Develop appropriate solutions to meet engineering requirements. Member of Windchill RV&S CCB s Vendor liaison: manage maintenance, operational issues (bugs) and upgrades in collaboration with PTC. Work with vendor to secure necessary product improvements. User Support: reinforce existing L1L2 support team Training: create and manage training documentation, including e-learning material. Present basic training as required. System Status Reporting: prepare reports on usage, licensing, configuration as required. Requirements for Windchill RV&S Administrator: Management of the Automotive Integrity System, with the help of internal data center/infrastructure IT specialists, and external resources when required knowledge of JavaScript and/or Java Knowledge of Python/Perl scripting language Knowledge of HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS (web technologies). Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle including o Any bug tracking s/w such as Bugzilla, Jira, Rational o Any Source Control including SVN, Git, ClearCase o Any Requirement Management including DOORS, Windchill RV&S, Polarion o Any Test Management including HPQC, Integrity, others Experience with Agile software Development practice. Experience as administrator of any IT system, including: o General Knowledge of networking o Interface to corporate IT, resolution and escalation of IT tickets. o Data center experience.
