Job Description

ABB Energy Industries drives growth for customers while supporting safe, efficient and profitable operations with strong global execution capacity, an extensive service footprint and capabilities, and innovative digital leadership.This is a Tender and Quotation Specialist role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Industrial Automation (INOPC IA) located in Bangalore.You will be responsible for creating and complete bids or estimations or quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements or budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintaining and improving the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.Your responsibilities

  • Preparing timely and comprehensive offers/ quotations.
  • Determining most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
  • Preparing offers & doing quotations standardization & competence development.
  • Collaborating across the sales support team in offering solutions to country / region specific customers.
  • Ensuring all proposals follow relevant ABB Procedures and guidelines.
  • Reviewing and analyzing the offers / quotations technical documents, requirements and identifying the scope of supply, configuring the product with relevant options, preparing the list of technical deviations and clarifications.
  • Preparing comments to customer s technical specifications including relevant documents related to bid submission.
  • Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • Bachelor s in electrical / electronic engineering or any related discipline.
  • Required 4 to 5 years of professional work experience in Power Management System proposals (PMS/ECMS/E-SCADA) for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemicals, Power and water industries.
  • Should be able to read and understand single line diagram and have good knowledge on IEC61850, GOOSE communication.
  • Have good knowledge on various PMS functionality like load shedding, load sharing, circuit breaker control, synchronization, ABTS.
  • Knowledge on Modbus, IEC-104, 101, DNP3.0 protocols.
  • Preparation of deliverables- System Architecture, Bill of materials, technical solution, generating buyout requests to procurement team, table of compliances, Pricing summary etc.
  • Coordinate consistent proposal and comments in case of multichannel tenders for projects in bid-for-bid stage.
  • Having knowledge on ABB 800xA and other ABB system will be an added advantage.
