Job Description

  • Support the Asia Transport Operations team to ensure optimal use of the Blue Yonder (BY) Transportation Management System (TMS) and BY Freight Order Management (FOM) tools, set the Asia transportation operations team up for success through advanced performance management and support the development of visibility solutions that benefit our customers and operations team.
  • Be part of an international team of Business Support Experts
  • Support process improvement initiatives and improved transportation methods to support Caterpillar s quality, velocity and cost objectives
  • Under the guidance of the Business Support Expert team in the United States, support system rollouts and new initiatives in multiple countries in Asia
  • Gather & document system/process requirements & enhancements (Business Requirement Document/Functional Requirement Document, DevOps cards, )
  • Collaborate with IT team and BY to ensure best in class use of TMS, FOM in alignment with documented requirements. This includes active participation in meetings with an overseas IT team, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), perform post go-live validation
  • Ensure system enhancements align with global initiatives where applicable
  • Support master data management efforts, such as locations/OD pairs/business hours/contacts/etc in Transportation systems (TMS, FOM, ERP, )
  • Support day-to-day ops requests, such as rating issues/optimization issues in the TMS (in adherence to Ops Support pyramid)
  • Support monthly/quarterly IT releases, patch installations, system upgrades, and other system enhancements by performing testing and cascading of change management communication within supported region
  • Provide analytics support using Transportation data and productionized reporting platforms, such as Crystal, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

  • Bachelor s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Logistics or Supply Chain) or 5+ years of experience in Transportation and/or Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Experience with Transportation planning and execution software, preferably Blue Yonder
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access)
  • Knowledge of Tableau/PowerBI /Similar Reporting Platform
  • Previous project management experience with high impact initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work remote from supervisor, and ability to work in close collaboration with multicultural team
  • Demonstrating willingness to adjust working hours in exceptional circumstances
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • Master s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Logistics or Supply Chain)
  • Demonstrated executer able to plan and optimize most effective methods for movement of freight
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of EDI and API
  • Experience with Oracle SQL
  • Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler Experience
  • 6 Sigma/Lean Experience
