Collaborate with visual, experience designers and engineers to implement new features. Work on DevOps modules for Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment. Automation of unit test modules. Benchmark and perform load testing, security testing and regression testing. Understand and debug code, including necessary performance enhancements and underlying architecture Design, build, test, deploy and release software solutions to enhance the core application. Work with business on requirements including UX/UI and transform them into software solutions. Analyze business and system requirements and recommend technical strategies based. Integrate and implement plugins and add-ons with the other systems Day-to-day administration of the platform including various meeting with the business team, community managers and product development teams.Qualifications BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum 5+ years of professional web development experience. 5+ years experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript with a major framework, HTML/CSS, Modular/Pluggable architecture, REST API architecture 3+ years of experience with: Oracle JET/Angular/React State management systems like Redux or similar libraries, PHP with a major OOP framework, Testing framework (PHP, JavaScript or TypeScript) 2+ years of experience with Frameworks like NextJS and ExpressJS. Experience with writing accessible & cross-browser compatible frontend UI with standards-compliant HTML and CSS Experience using CSS grids and building responsive websites with scalability in mind. Write reusable UI components based on design patterns and workflows. A passion for component composition and isolation techniques Ability to come up with design and coding best practices Experienced writing backend services with Node.js using API-driven architectures, especially micro-services, REST, 12-factor applications. Experience leading development teams and architecting elegant solutions. Experience of bundlers, such as Webpack, Browserify or Gulp and their use in building scalable, maintainable applications. Strong experience in defining and applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions. 2+ years of development experience in Java, PHP, Python as well as scripting languages Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Strong written & verbal English language skills Strong REST API based programming skills. Ability to design RESTful services and integrate with other data providers. Understanding when to use JSON or XML. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX. Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel) and package managers, such as Grunt, Bower, NPM and Gulp.js Experienced in modern dev tools, process, and methodologies like TDD, Unit Testing & Functional testing using Mocha, Chai, Jest or other frameworks. Experience with accessibility-driven design and Section 508 Compliance. Comprehensive experience of debugging client-server interaction in a browser and optimizing webpages for performance and security. Proficient understanding of Continuous Integration and deployment and tools chain like GIT, Nodejs/Yarn, Jenkins, Maven etc. Solid knowledge of Oracle database and SQL queries. Solid understanding of the Vanilla Forums architecture and the underlying APIs is a plus. Strong application design skills and implementation understanding of identity management and security. Experience working with Agile development frameworks. Experience to lead offshore teams around product implementation is a plus. Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences Flexible work times to enable working with team members in other time zones (Early and/or Late conferences)
