Job descriptionWill be responsible for carrying out procedures in a blood bank as per the laid down protocols. Will maintain inventory of all non-consumable items in the blood bank, along with a supervisor.Roles and Responsibilities1. To be responsible for general supervision of the work of all laboratory executives of all sections of the Blood Bank department.2. To be responsible to keep the department clean and tidy at all times. Shall make frequent and daily rounds to the departments.3. To countersign all indents made out by the executives after careful scrutiny.4. To be responsible for total supervision of the work of all executives in the laboratory and blood bank.5. To promptly report the loss or damage or non-functioning of any equipment.6. To see that records and registers are kept up to date and all documentation is made accurately. He/she shall sign these registers every week after close scrutiny.7. To be responsible for adherence to all statutory rules regarding equipment for the blood bank.8. To perform any other duties given to him/her from time to time.9. To be responsible for all official correspondence with drug controllers office, he will also be responsible for documentation in all blood bank registers as per the regulatory authorities.10. To be responsible for coordinating the AMC s, CMC s , and calibrations of all equipment in the blood bank.11. To maintain the inventory stock in the blood bank and update it time to time.12. To be responsible for proper disposal of infected and expired blood.13. To coordinate with other blood bank in the city to maintain the continuity of services in the hospital.14. To be responsible for quality controls and EQAS for the blood bank.15. To coordinate all the routine and licensing inspections held in the blood bank.16. To do the final reporting of ABO & Rh blood grouping, DCT & ICT.17. To supervise aphaeresis process & serology tests.18. To supervise donor screening and donation process.Desired Candidate ProfileDMLT/BMLT with 1-5 year experience
