Job Description

    Role Responsibilities Provide leadership to the global category teams and initiate, develop as well as implement category source plan, through extensive data analysis & research, define current state, set category direction, have a vision for the category to progress in short, medium and long term, monitor and track category performance by defining the right metrics, have oversight of transactions part of the category source plan and monitor, track, report exceptions.Own category management deliverables including; Analysis & Data Gathering - Product and service awareness study, historical spend and trend analysis, market intelligence through primary and secondary research, category governance on third party oversight onboarding and steady state process, collaborate with line of business on short, medium and long term vision of the category and should be able to influence/ persuade the business to adopt the category strategy recommended by sourcing, should have strong market insights in the category through regular meeting with key suppliers and stakeholders, partnering with global category team for findings, observations, monitoring, tracking and implementation of strategies and plans, partner with procurement operations, supplier relationship management and global supplier diversity teams to implement the overarching goals of Sourcing & Procurement; Supplier Management % of gold & diverse supplier spend, segmentation, referencing, capability analysis and rationalization; Commercials Negotiate savings to P&L, operationalization of early pay discounts (EPD) enabled contracts; Contract Management New or improved MSA & SLA terms, gap analysis with help of external/ internal counsel supported by the right recommendations and comments; Compliance BREXIT, Secondary Data Use Restrictions, GDPR and right purchasing channelDevelop working relationships with senior executives in the category management teams globally and other lines of business, understand their business drivers, and their requirements for engaging third parties Ensure 3rd Party vendor relationships and channel compliance are consistent with GSS strategic priorities.Lead the development and execution of strategies for significant sourcing transactionsCarry out in depth supplier due diligence as required.Work with LOB clients and other stakeholders to define requirements for a sourcing transactionEvaluate competitive offerings from suppliers to develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMCs business requirementsLead some of the negotiations to establish commercial terms and lead the contract development process through its approval and executionMaintain compliance with all policy and procedural guidelinesPartner with regional teams and clients on local, regional and sometimes global sourcing projects.Partner closely with internal JPMC legal, risk, third party oversight and finance teams towards the successful completion of intricate negotiations and initiativesEnsure all the selected vendors are compliant with SLAs (Service Level Agreements) through collaboration with our internal partners and client teamsConduct in depth cost and spend analysis in order develop target saves initiatives though various cost reduction means Requirements Category Management experience in Facilities management services, design & construction deals, professional services, dining and cafeteria services, receptionist services, staff transport services, colocation and data center services and renewable energy category is required, Extensive Sourcing and process knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.Ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments/deals within defined deadlines Ability to work with all levels of management within the bank across all regionsExtensive client management skillsStrong relationship management skills. Strong financial analysis skills Qualifications Degree level education at a minimum, post graduate candidates shall be preferred over just basic graduatesExperience working within the area of third party providers. Experience in managing commodity or spend category spend would be an advantage.Min 10 years of working experience in the Financial Services industryAdvanced proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced Excel) as well as Ariba analysisExcellent internal client management skills.Proven track record of broad, strategic thinking in a Sourcing or Vendor Management type roleProject management experience in complex initiatives.A good understanding of legal contracts/ clauses/ commercial terms/ INCO terms including service level agreements.Knowledge of IT systems and financial systems would be an advantage People Management and Development Promote positive working environment by building on the different strengths of people in the team and Contribute to the achievement of team activitiesSupport the development of individuals knowledge, capabilities and skills to further the aims of Global Supplier ServicesSupport the personal and professional development of individuals to enhance their performanceDevelop and implement plans for the training and development of team member and other stakeholders to further the organization s capabilities in GSSDisplay effective motivational capabilities applying these within the functionConduct effective performance reviews and support appraisals with team members Support the development of effective teams by promoting positive group dynamics dealing effectively with any team conflict that may ariseSupport an employee feedback-rich culture incorporating feedback in daily routines and interactions.
