Job Description

    The Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Engineering group in the Core Infrastructure division at Morgan Stanley is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the firm s huge scale global physical and virtual server infrastructure. The group is involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of numerous products, including hardware, hypervisor, the Linux O/S, system configuration, critical infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.), load-balancing capabilities, high availability products and virtualization management technologies.Whilst we are an infrastructure team, there is a large software development and integration angle to our work, as we enable our customers to provision and manage our infrastructure self-service, a key aspect of which are intranet GUIs used across our global internal customer base of development and application support teams.We are seeking a technicalogist in the UI/UX team within our rapidly growing engineering organization in Bangalore. This team will face off against other engineering & development teams globally to renovate, replace and build new Angular GUIs for their customers using best-in-class web technologies following firm standards for look & feel. Projects will range from simple changes to existing GUIs through to full lifecycle user story mapping, design and GUI delivery., *Primary Skills - Technology career background of 5-8 years, hands on experience on UX designer - Expert knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/LESS techniques - Very good understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design fundamentals. - Excellent understanding of browser runtime, its rendering process, and CPU utilization - The importance of testing and reviews as an integral part of delivering outstanding solutions. - Comfort working in a technology infrastructure context with highly technical customers - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good To have Skills - Experience with Angular and/or other modern frameworks - Experience working with virtual teams - Educational background in Computer Science or a related discipline - Past experience as a server-side software engineerMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
