Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Vice President , Product Manager

  • In this role, we are looking for Product management and design of the PVAI Application (Application and Core Extraction and Classification engine) ensuring that the associated requirements and functional specifications are line with product strategy, comprehensive and that all vital regulatory and compliance regulations are captured.
  • Ongoing product management and design of all legacy applications in the PRIMO category of products.
  • Development activity that takes place in the USA.
  • Management of 3rd party vendors and technology partners.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate documentation of all requirements and design work for PVAI and PRIMO applications.
  • Ensure that robust end to end project plans are in place and leaded for the application workstreams in all projects sponsored by the Solution team.
  • Ensure all product development activities and work are delivered to a high quality in accordance with relevant SOPs and executed to time and cost.
  • Act as Product SME and support client implementation projects through participation in workshops.
  • Provide the PVAI Business Lead and Business Development Lead with pre-sales and sales support, through development of positive relationships with clients and identification of client solutions architectures, implementation plans and pricing.
  • Resolve product strategy and requirements by staying abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes and commissioning research as and when vital.
  • Resolve nature and scope of future product lines by generating and appraising new product ideas and assessing competitors products.
  • Handle the day to day activities of the product development team
  • Maintain product development team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Ensure the product development team is adequately resourced to support all planned internal and client implementation projects.
  • Build product development staff by counselling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending informative workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Support the PVAI Business Lead with defining and handling the PVAI business and product strategy
  • Advise, review and sign off on Core Product, Cloud Infrastructure and Service Model requirements and design work
  • Work with the Quality team to help define the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Genpact PVAI QMS, and ensures that the Genpact PVAI QMS is adhered to within PVAI, and looks for areas of continuous improvement in to make the processes more predictable and to ensure high quality work.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications
  • Master s degree or Doctorate.
  • Preference for Computer Science / Software Engineering, Biosciences or Management Sciences.
Preferred qualifications
  • Good experience in product management and software development in a regulated environment, preferably Drug Safety systems
  • Outstanding knowledge of Pharmacovigilance, Life Sciences industry and associated regulations
  • Good client facing experience.
  • Solid grasp of designing and implementing Enterprise Software with experience in planning, estimation, software development, implementation and service delivery.
  • Confirmed team leadership skills working with large distributed and multi-functional teams
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and ability to handle team and client discussions.
