As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.This is within Asset Management Operations & Compliance Technology Team. As a lead technologist, the candidate will be required to provide high quality and strategic technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments.The role will include the following major functions/responsibilities:
• Responsible for the effective collaboration between Business Users, Development, Quality Assurance and Technology Support teams.
• Play a critical IT role during requirements gathering, testing, and implementation phases and work closely with business users and IT management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
• Translate business requirements into application functional specifications.
• Develop and update functional user stories/use cases and conduct business process modeling meetings to explain business requirements to development teams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
• Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
• Develop complex application modules by implementing business requirements
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues, and review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation.
Essential Skills:
• 8-10 years of hands-on software development experience
• Experience of 7-8 years in Informatica, Oracle PL/SQL, scheduling tools such as Auto-sys or Control M
• Hands on Information Architecture in enterprise-sized applications with a strong working knowledge of Data Modelling and Meta-modelling (preferably with UML) or the use of alternative Data Modelling tools such as ERwin, Power Designer and Magic Draw
• Experience with Microservices / Cloud Native architecture
• GIT/Stash & Branching strategies
• CI/CD understanding preferably with Jenkins pipelines
• Experience in Agile Scrum Methodology for Software development
• Experience on Reporting tool like Qlikview or Tableau would be an additional advantage
• Understands DevOps and worked in a DevOps model
• Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring boot , Rest Web Services is plus
Qualifications:
• BS, MS in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Possess good verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
• Possess analytical and critical thinking skills
• Self-motivation, good communication skills and team player.
• Fluency in programming skills
