    • Purpose of the Job Commits and manages QCD of assigned Bogie Projects & Tenders. Need Bogie Design / knowledge of Bogie Sub systems like Suspension, Brakes ,Transmission, Railway Dynamics, Validation, Connection to car body, other equipment s & each sub systems interfaces expertise. And closely interact with Bogie PrEM, CBS team for interface design freeze. Interacts with Sourcing, Quality and Supplier to develop various Bogie components. Exhibit good team player role with to CFT discussion. He / She will also exhibit leadership skills in developing team, strategy, road maps and detail work load plan. Also extensively work with global teams to build coherence and build strong competency development plan

    • Plan / Lead Design and Gate reviews on time and manages open action items.
    Responsibilities
    • Tender technical and effort commitment Competency development plan and training needs
    • Lead / Guide / Mentor Team on all technical and non technical subjects and motivate them to deliver quality work
    • Avoid and manage internal and global escalations. Work on RCA and present the Action plan for improvements if any
    • Decode all the Bogie requirements from customer documents (RFP, RFQ etc) and convert them in to each components desgin requirement and drive to meet those requirements.

    • Safety (flexibility coefficient, derailment, etc.) and comfort criteria performing parametrical analyses to get the optimum solution
    • Suggest design solutions to the PrEM as regards suspensions so as to ensure a good dynamic performance of the vehicles.
    • Manage suspensions specifications
    • Manage anti-rolling bar type bodies and springs calculation
    • Ensure suppliers follow-up: clause-to-clause/ bodies type tests/requested documentations
    • Bogie Suspension Design inputs and standards
    • Hand calculation skills for Suspension designs.
    • Discuss with customer, interface with project and prepare customer submission documents and answer customer queries and comments.
    • Ensures, with his colleagues et the technical departments, the product technical relevance, from the definition to the industrialization and the performance in revenue service
    • Guarantees project technical management (internal and external relationships with the Customers, general planning, interfaces, advices from the suppliers and follow-up of allocated budget),
    • Guarantees product contractual technical requirements are met including technical performances, RAMS (Reliability Maintainability-Availability-Safety items), Fire/smoke et eco-design
    • Ensures the provision, in due time, of the whole input data and of all the data that can have an impact on studies (design, lead time of the different suppliers, deadlines related to production)
    • Ensures and leads Suspension design reviews and internal and external definition and validation files
    • Responsible to produce, update and approve definition and justification technical documents
    • Responsible to define and follow-up the technical validation plan of the product and its components (routine tests definition, type tests, type parts, line tests) on Suspension
    • Responsible to optimize product development cost Can answer tenders on all the sub systems of Bogies
    Job Specifications
    • Knowledge & Experience:
    Mechanical Engineer degree or technical experience 10+Yrs. Railway Background and Bogie / Suspension Knowledge is preferred.Technical skills
