About Cloud & Network ServicesCloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.Job DescriptionThe Cross-Core Chief Architect will be part of the CN Engineering xCore Design and Architecture Team.This role is responsible for the following:

• Design counterpart to the respective portfolio managers in the CoreNetworks PLM team
• Investigating cross-portfolio requirements and interacting with PLM, Services, Customers to create system architectures and high-level product designs
• Working with the engineering leads to plan cross-portfolio requirements, ensuring requirements are implemented consistently across products
• Identifying areas of potential code commonality and reuse, and driving programs on software reuse
• Interfacing to key customers to explain design approaches and cross-portfolio elements
• Working with the CN T&A team and the CNS Architecture team on wider initiatives, bringing in the engineering perspective
• Contribute to a culture of intellectual curiosity and exploration of new ideas

Job Responsibilities & CompetenciesKey Deliverables:

• Analysis specifications for the cross-portfolio requirements across CE with emphasis on roadmap of cloud native applications
• CE-wide architecture guidelines, including cloud native, lcm, CSF, ZTS
• Architectural & design guidance for selected new technical topics
• Reuse of common software, frameworks across CE
• Creation and analysis of innovative ideas which can be used across organization
• Tracking of implementation of architecture directions

• Technical Leadership: Hands on knowledge on a broad array of cloud native technologies. Ability to comprehend complex technical problems and create pragmatic solutions.
• Results Orientation: track record of creating high quality work and delivering results on time.
• Collaboration and Influence Skills: demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide array of stakeholders and technical experts throughout the company and outside partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive product design and architecture experience with recent years having emphasis on CaaS, Operability topics and non-functional areas.
• Experience in cross team technical interface management.
• Ability to manage customer escalations caused by outage or product defects
• Experience with the Nokia CNS Core product portfolio is a plus
