Electrician responsibilities and dutiesCustomer support Executive.The responsibilities and duties section is the most important part of the job description Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals to complete assigned projects Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Reading technical diagrams and blueprints. Performing general electrical maintenance. Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures. Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations. Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance. Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.Electrician qualifications and skills Diploma required 5+ years experience in the electrical trade Able to work well on a team Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 Kg without assistance Excellent hand-eye coordination Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment Strong interpersonal communication skills
