Job Description

    Business Development Manager (BDM) - IT Sales (F&B Industry)Location: Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur- Punjab, IndiaWe are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with expertise in IT sales, specifically focused on the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry. As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting our IT solutions within the F&B sector. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, business acumen, and excellent communication skills to succeed in a competitive market.Responsibilities:1. Identify and Target Prospects: Conduct market research to identify potential clients within the F&B industry. Develop a strategic approach to target and engage key decision-makers in these organizations.2. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies to penetrate the F&B industry market. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.3. New Business Acquisition: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers. Proactively seek out new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT managers, and business owners in the F&B industry. Understand their pain points and provide customized IT solutions that address their specific needs.5. Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Effectively present our IT solutions to potential clients, highlighting the value proposition, features, and benefits. Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to showcase the capabilities and drive customer interest.6. Proposal Creation and Negotiation: Prepare detailed proposals, pricing quotations, and contracts based on customer requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with the organizations capabilities.7. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure. Track and report on sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools. Provide accurate sales forecasts and meet or exceed assigned sales targets.8. Field Sales: Conduct on-site visits and meetings with clients in Gurgaon and nearby areas as necessary. Develop a deep understanding of the local market and leverage face-to-face interactions to build stronger relationships and close deals.9. Customer Relationship Management: Nurture existing customer accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.10. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings in the IT solutions space. Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to drive continuous improvement and product innovation.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.- Proven experience in IT sales or business development, preferably in the F&B industry or related sectors.- Strong knowledge of IT solutions, software products, and services, particularly those relevant to the F&B industry (e.g., POS systems, inventory management, supply chain solutions, customer engagement tools, etc.).- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.- Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management tools.- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for field sales activities.Note: This job description is a general outline of the key responsibilities and qualifications of the BDM role.
