Job Description

    *Description: The Core DBA Teach Lead will be responsible for planning, driving and execution of the Database Road map along with keeping all stakeholders informed and in sync. Position will be directly working with the Business and TSM to ensure the technical roadmap is aligned with business roadmap. Tech lead will ensure projects are deliveredas per roadmap along with operation support for the instances managed.It will be essential that the lead motivates the team members and sets accountability for them and focuses on teams technical development. This role will require coordination with different teams within the Enterprise, ensuring their engagement and alignment to supportthe Core Database Road map. The expectation from the role is to have On-Hands technical approach to drive technical solutions., *ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • The role is expected to manage 24*7 environments and maintain excellent service levels.
    • Managing database administration activities for the supported environments.
    • Managing weekend production maintenances and ensure adequate weekend coverage to perform maintenance activities.
    • Resource planning to support instances.
    • Ability to drive team to success by ensuring right accountability and right resource for each task.
    • Responsible for the growth of team members including appraisals & development plans
    • Responsible for the system uptime and ensuring ticket and availability SLAs are met
    • Project planning and execution for complex and critical projects like Database Upgrade, Grid Upgrade along with documentation.
    • Ownership of various processes such as Patching,Vulnerability Management
    • Drive initiative with-in and outside team
    • Good Communication skills and coordination with business. PMO group and various other groups inside and outside organizations.

    • Generation of various reports for management team.

    Required Skills and Experience:
    • Hands on experience for Object Type creation for new business requirement in Kintana
    • Hands on experience on installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of Oracle databases and SQL server.
    • Supporting 11g/12C/19c Databases
    • Performance Tuning of complex queries, ability to read execution plan and implement better solution.
    • Monitor, tuning and optimization of Oracle database systems.
    • SQL design & performance tuning knowledge would be an advantage
    • Working on ticketing system and tool on production/development EBS Database/Application issues.
    • Coordination with Oracle, Application Support team, Unix/Linux/storage and other Application interface teams.
    • Perform Patching, cloning, taking backups, managing archives and regular maintenance activities
    • Customer facing and ability to clearly explain technical matters.
    • Hands on experience in working on MS SQL server database and its management.
