Job Description

  1. Carry out in-house trials on new/existing products as per the protocols and come out with clear recommendations on dose and Technical positioning.
  2. Identify potential crops and segments for developing new markets and new use patterns in BU s.
  3. Indication experts for execution of country development plan
  4. Responsible for technical and operational excellence and ensuring EHS compliant AgSolution farms
  5. Support to marketing teams on new product launches and communication modules in local languages
  6. Establish rapport with key influencers covering technical, regulatory and other law enforcing government functionaries in BU s
  7. Support regulatory team for registration trials.
  8. Promoting Stewardship during evaluation and promotion of products
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities(Heading 1): Biological Profiling of new products/concepts
  1. Evaluation of products through in-house and demo trials for:
    1. Dose optimization/ selectivity
    2. Technical positioning
  2. Achieve technical and operational excellence through AgSolution farms
(Heading 2): Indication experts for execution of country development plan
  1. Support Crop Development Specialists for the execution of Indication trial program by:
    1. Preparation of clear protocols in coordination with regional indication project manager
    2. Guidance on assessment methodologies
    3. Result compilation, Defining error free GAP and presentation preparation
(Heading 3): Business Development for existing products
  1. Identification of opportunities in crops specific to the area of operation
  2. Validation of the market place innovations
(Heading 4): Sales, Marketing & Regulatory Support
  1. Technical support to marketing on New product launches and demo trials
  2. Analyze competitor new product development in the market place
  3. Support in creating a well-defined product communication
  4. Support regulatory team for registration trials
(Heading 5): Sustainability & Stewardship
  1. Assist in Weed/ Disease Mapping and resistance management
  2. Recommend spray programs for resistance management
  3. Promoting Stewardship during evaluation and promotion of products
(Heading 6): Advocacy
  1. Establish rapport with key influencers from universities and research institutes
  2. Collaborate with institutes or companies in food value chain
  3. Collect information on the competitor activities
Job Skills:1.2.3.4.Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)Education
  • M.Sc (Ag) is mandatory and Ph.D. in Hoticulture, Entomology, Plant Pathology or Agronomy is desirable.
Working Experience
  • A minimum of 4 8 years of experience in the relevant field is desired.
Technical & Professional Knowledge
  • Technical knowledge about agriculture and in addition experience on farm management
  • Global Trial methodologies.
