Job Description SummaryWere looking for a Front-end Experienced Developer to transform designs into modular components, patterns, and templates into rock-solid flexible and scalable code for consumption by development teams and help drive best practice and the development of BDs design system. Job DescriptionJob Description - Front-End DeveloperWho we areAt BD, our design system provides the resources necessary to design and build applications to help advance the world of health through user focus - user center design. As a product made for products, the design system team designs and develops tools and components that create a user-focused experience across all BD products and applications.Were looking for a Front-end Experienced Developer to transform designs into modular components, patterns, and templates into rock-solid flexible and scalable code for consumption by development teams and help drive best practice and the development of BDs design system.This position is highly collaborative and requires a high degree of professionalism and empathy for end-users. The individual we are looking for will be comfortable seeing initiatives through from exploration and prototype to technical design to completion. The individual must work independently and collaboratively, researching and proposing solutions, with the ability to candidly discuss the costs and benefits of these solutions with larger teams and management. Mentorship and guidance experience of other developers will be a component of this role.Development ExperienceIndividuals must have 4 - 6 years of experience developing web applications within the medical industry, consumer products, or developing in-depth design systems.The individual must have experience and be proficient in:

• HTML 5, CSS 3, SASS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Working with UI libraries and frameworks like bootstrap
• Working with multiple JavaScript libraries like Angular, React, Vue, etc.

• Writing scalability and maintainable code

• Rapid prototyping of proof of concepts
• Implementing web standards and accessibility standards (W3C, WCAG 2.1, etc.)
• Working with GitHub and Azure DevOps workflow or process
• Working across multiple platforms and browsers
• Compatibility and Unit testing
• Developing complex, user-focused web, and mobile applications

• Creating component libraries using web standards and best practices

• Working within a user-centric design process and working with UI/UX designers to develop a consistent user experience across products and platform

Required SkillsThe individual must have the ability:

• Work within an agile/scrum environment
• Work locally and globally with cross-functional teams
• Work with company brand guidelines
• Work collaboratively with fellow developers and designers
• Communicate designs, presentations, etc. and negotiate options at management levels
• Collaborate with key product stakeholders to understand and support product design
• Advise, coach, and educate fellow developers on best practices and BDs design system
• Build positive, collaborative relationships across teams/groups/functions through facilitative leadership

Must have for considerationThe individual must have the following for consideration:

• Must have experience developing design systems
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have a strong portfolio with clear examples of completed work
• Must have experience working with US-based companies
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, mastery of English and local language
• Must have well-considered opinions about what makes for a good user experience and the technical specifics of how to create it
• Must have fundamental design knowledge and design sense

Nice to haveNot required, but experience and knowledge would be beneficial to the role.

• Working knowledge of design tools - Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Experience in developing applications for mobile (iOS or Android)
• Experience in developing applications for PC desktop devices
• Experience in developing applications with ASP.net MVC
• Experience in developing applications with C#.net
