Job Description

    ASSISTANT HEAD MERCHANDISINGPosition SummaryThe assistant head of the merchandising department (from Luxury Germs and Jewellery sector only) will be responsible for leading a small team and overseeing all operating functions of an intensive, detailed & granular jewellery supply chain. The assistant head of the merchandising department must be able to work with external parties as well as direct internal parties to execute our jewellery requirements, both custom orders, and maintaining stock requirements, and ensure gaps are quickly filled with traits of JIT, Automated POs, slicing every area minutely for type, size, right sizing, innovation, market trends etc.Roles and Responsibilities
    • Stock management - ensure that our recommended stock level is always right sized. Just in Time systems must be followed, stock forecast must be envisioned, store stockholding must be constantly adapted, updated and evolve as customer requirements change. Focus on increasing profits. A strong foundation in supply chain management is required. Our ERP system is SAP, and a good understanding of the software, excel tools is preferred. Data driven mindset is needed.
    • Custom order management - CKC receives a large volume of custom orders, and the head of the merchandising department must be able to work with the head of the design department and ensure all custom orders are properly communicated to the production, job workers etc., and ensure timely delivery.
    • Work closely with our team of craftsmen, ensure orders are issued properly to them, and that their quality is maintained, productivity is high, and jewellery is delivered in a timely manner. Must be able to audit the metal issued and delivered, ensure minimal wastage, and oversee their functioning with a close and keen eye. Ensure compliances.
    • Work closely with all other department such as marketing & Ecommerce departments to ensure higher stockholding during marketing campaigns, finance department for materials management, sales department for reach outs and taking input on customer trends etc.
    • Reporting - must be able to generate and analyse stock reports, present results to management, and have a deep understanding of our recommended stock.
    • Being worldly wise, reasonably travelled, be good reader, luxury business branding & services oriented, and having an innovative and with social media tracking.
    Desired Candidate Profile
    • Degree in Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum 7 Years Previous Experience
    • Data Driven and Strong operational foundation
    • Experienced with Oracle/ SAP is a plus
