Assistant Lead Engineer - Master Data IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 11816Industrialisation & VPS Excellence - Engineering Development Standardisation - Master Data & PLM ExecDescribe the Department Industrialization - Engineering Development - Standardization, Master Data & PLM Execution.Standardization & Master Data & PLM Execution is responsible for defining, defining and ensuring both short and long-term targets are being met across platforms, modules and systems to ensure the highest degree of standardized and modularized products.Master Data and PLM Execution is a sub-department within Standardization, Master Data & PLM Execution which is a heterogeneous team with various functions (Master Data, PLM Execution, Requirement Management and Standardized material creation), competency, expertise and diversity. There is a variety of options available to learn new things and to improve projects and improvement initiatives. The team always is a family.The team is also responsible for developing centralized functional, process and operational excellence to promote continuous improvement across the value chain.Responsibilities Primary responsible is to catalogue Material Master data based on UNSPSC attributes as per ISO 8000 and 2275 standards Analyze the correct UNSPSC and its attributes as per the ECCMA standard Review the technical details in Product Design and Drawing, Technical Purchase Specification and Technical Supplier Specification Identify and segregation of materials with correct attributes based on the master data governance. Suggesting the alternate materials and handle the life cycle state of the materials Prepare Master Data Governance and acting as SPOC Motivation and sustain the high-level master data quality in PDMlink and SAP On-time execution of tasks strict to the defined SLA. Frequent communication with Designers and Engineers across the value chain Track & communicate the daily status/issues in a clear and precise manner to peers and management Define and coordinate strategic initiatives and performance metrics reporting/monitoringQualifications B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering 6-10 years of relevant engineering experience, for example from the wind Energy but potentially from any other Engineering industries (E.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Heavy Engineering Industry, industrial machinery, material handling equipment and Energy Sector)Competencies PTC - Windchill and PDMLink SAP MM (Material Management) HS European Tax commodity code UNSPSC Material Classification / Cataloguing MS Office (Preferred solid expertise in Excel Macros) Ability to work in a highly charged environment without compromising on quality Good on multitasking and a high sense of ownership Knowledge on Engineering Change Management Good technical leadership skills Solid stakeholder management skills Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work with global organizationWhat We Offer We offer an exciting job with creative opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring, progressive, innovative and international work environment in the renewable energy sector.
