Job Description

    L&T EduTech is an initiative under Larsen & Toubro to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia. L&T offers a series of industry-led application-oriented programs under its portfolio L&T College Connect, Vocational Skilling, Professional Certification, Assessments & Certifications, and Skills Exchange.Job Location: Chennai, INDIA.Key Position Capabilities: L&T EDUTECH is looking for an IT Assistant Manager to join its team, as a leader in the IT department, and an employee responsible for organization-wide systems and information, the IT Manager role will be the main point of contact for all things IT and be responsible for managing L&T EduTechs IT infrastructure as well as be the standard for outstanding business practice to ensure L&T EduTech remains agile whilst remaining protected and secure. Your New Role: Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization Conducting regular system audits Providing direction for IT team members Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update our current SaaS stack and systems Develop, maintain and grow relationships with our software vendors Collaborate with all departments of the organization to resolve ongoing issues as well as day-to-day operations Developing standardized operating procedures for our service desk Ensuring support tickets are managed within SLAs Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior management and staffWhat Youll Need To Succeed:
    • You will need to have an infrastructure or system administration background with at least 5 years of experience.
    • We are also expecting to see: Examples of successful project delivery while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced managed services environment.
    • Experience in dealing with 3rd party suppliers (infrastructure and telecommunication) to ensure service levels are achieved.
    • Examples of problem-solving across complex infrastructure solutions. Ideally comes from a product-based industry background with exposure to both sales and supply chain functions. Experience in technology areas including; Windows server infrastructure. Cloud infrastructure implementation and management (Microsoft Azure). Virtualization (VMware and Containerization). Network infrastructure and security. Experience with the application development lifecycle and managing development teams. Experience in project management methodologies.
    Desired Skills and Experience Cybersecurity IT Management IT Policies IT infrastructure People Leadership Service DeskWhat You Have:
    • Bachelor or Masters degree preferably in IT, or adequately tech savvy with competent research and critical thinking abilities Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Hands-on experience with implementing general IT policies, Cybersecurity, IT Management, IT infrastructure, and People Leadership.
    • Service Desk IT service desk best practices and cybersecurity will be highly regarded Process-driven mindset with a strategic and holistic mindset Aptitude to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, manage user expectations and identify and mitigate potential risks
    • Ability to project manage IT infrastructure development projects adhering to timeframes.
