Job Description

ROLE TITLE: Assistant Manager Technical ( NPI/Tyre Engineering )To provide technical support for the manufacturing process in the designated area.DIMENSIONS:Position holderInternal customersExternal customersExternal partnersKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PROCESS & PRODUCT:
  • Lead In NPI/NPD activities
  • Responsible for all the technological activities at the designated area.
  • Release of new products (NPD ) as per time line- Industrialization of new product and process.
  • Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions.
  • Product and process quality improvement.
  • Generate quality improvement projects to improve the product performance and process efficiencies.
  • System implementation, monitoring and control.
  • Lead activities and execute, that involve issuing reports, conducting product/process quality audits, issuing and dispositioning product holds, process & material specifications related to maintaining and improving the product quality within the manufacturing process.
  • Lead Productivity and execute Kaizens in respective areas.
  • PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc.
  • TECHNICAL ECONOMY:
  • Product specification optimizationin the designated area.
  • CLAIMS & LOSSES:
  • Monitor products order to bring 100 % straight pass ratio.
  • TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:
  • Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated section
  • Conduct field visits to monitor performance and customer feedback
  • Analytically sound to analyse the data & should retrieve the claim /defect or any statistical data available in the system
  • Sound knowledge of Cut sectional analysis and tyre engineering calculations.
  • Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)
(Technical knowhow & ability in compounding process, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measures)
  • Proficiency in Plant systems & processes (Foundational)
(Ability to understand & implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM and other contemporary systems & process.)
  • Business Focus (Foundational)
