Job Description

  • Plan and supervise routine Bioanalytical work flow to ensure deliverables/ productivity, along with verification of analytical study data for its accuracy and integrity.
  • Mentor and supervise fellow scientists for method development and troubleshooting for routine as well as critical Bioanalytical work
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing input into the design of experimental protocols and Bioanalytical procedures for the analysis of drug candidates in biological samples
  • Follow critical organizational principles of operations like safety and data integrity
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing sample analysis for different types of ADME assays
  • Processing of different matrices samples of PK studies
  • Optimization of test compounds manually as well as automated on LCMS/MS
  • Develop methods with the team lead for various biological matrices on LCMS/MS
  • Independently handling of HPLC for UV based samples analysis.
  • Documenting the lab note books online and compound management

  • Ensuring safety of self, teams and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace.
  • Ensuring that there are no safety non-compliances in areas that my team operates in.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Syngene policies related to data integrity by all members of the team including self
  • Ensuring all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self
  • Reporting incidents (or near-misses) and learnings from those incidents to avoid recurrence.
  • Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times and ensuring the same by the team members.
Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline)
Technical/functional Skills:
  • Expertise in column selection, mobile phase selection, solvent preparations and sample processing techniques such as protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction and solid phase extraction is mandatory.
  • Sample processing of New chemical entities from various in-vitro and in-vivo studies executed in Preclinical discovery by using appropriate extraction methodsShould be able to develop and validate LC-MS based qualitative/quantitative methods and apply them in routine analysis
  • Should be well versed with internet-based literature search and capable of implementing the Learnings as and when required
  • Candidate is expected to have basic understanding in interpretation of Mass/UV SpectraShould ensure preventative maintenance and calibration schedules of HPLC & mass spec by coordinating with vendor and support staff
  • Comprehensive understanding of ADME assays and technical expertise in trouble shooting the assays.
  • Should be able to deliver scientific presentation in departmental journal club and write official Project report.
Experience:
  • 3-6 years post qualification

  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to work under strict timelines.
