Job Description

Job Title: AVP - PC Valuations Location: ChennaiThe role would involve: Calibrating/Building Yield curves Bid /Offer reserve calculations Prudential valuation Adjustments IPV for Rates Products some products include Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Cross Currency Swaps, Inflation- Swaps, Total Return Swaps and Collateralized Derivative products.What will you be doing Curve building for major currencies. Calculate FVA, PVA as part of IPV process. Independent price verification for various cash and derivative products. Calculation of various fair value adjustments when required Full ownership of the month end valuation production cycle: Preparation process from a logistic, process & IT point of view: Generation of IPV variances, valuation uncertainty, reserves Analysis / commenting of results Escalation of valuation issues Communicating/reporting IPV results to finance management, trading desks and external stakeholders (auditors, regulators), via the production of the monthly IPV reporting pack and communication in relevant meetings Work with peers across PC-Valuation team to help establish best practice guidelines and ensure these guidelines are well-communicated and adhered to. Working on creating solutions / improvements to the IPV process. This requires working with the Change Management team to enhance specification of technology requirements as well as assisting with testing & managing new releases.What we re looking for: Ideally candidates with valuations or IPV experience with rates products with substantial experience and a financial engineering / quant degree would fit the bill. Skills that will help you in the role: It is necessary for the candidates to have substantial rates products knowledge. If the candidates have a quant background working in model validation, attribution roles for rates products if would also be acceptable.
