Job Description

Job purpose:

  • Murex Techno-Functional professionals with expertise and prior work experience on Murex implementations in Capital Market space.
Your client responsibilities:
  • Need to work as a Techno-Functional consultant for one or more Murex projects.
  • Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
  • Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
  • Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators
  • Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed
  • Should be ready to travel to customers locations on need basis

Mandatory skills:
  • Hand on experience in working on Back Office module with knowledge of capital markets functions. Perfect candidate would have a techno functional background with 7-12 years of experience in technology
  • Knowledge of Contract, Event, Deliverable and Exchange workflows including working on formulas such as XSL, XMLF, SQL, XMLFBM, XSLTREE etc.
  • In addition to the above the person should have hands on experience developing Netting queues, OSP views creation, payments and confirmation messages generation etc.
  • Knowledge of MQ, FIX, Swift messaging standards would be an added advantage
  • At least 5+ year of experience handling development, configuration and issue resolution of MXML interfaces/ business workflows
  • Technical Skills expected:
Good knowledge of Oracle DB including SQL and PL/SQL.Good knowledge on and Unix / Linux Operating SystemRequirements Gathering, Documentation and Development SupportSoftware Testing & Roll outProduction Issue Troubleshooting & Application SupportCoordination with Business-Users, in-house IT teams, software vendors and other stakeholders
  • Functional Skills expected:
Knowledge of various concepts related to Treasury space covering various asset classesGood knowledge of Bond, GSecs, TBills, Equities, MFs, Forex, Derivative Products (Forex, Equity, Bonds, etc.), Interest Rate Swaps and other financial instrumentsUnderstanding complete Trade Lifecycle functionalities/ processes involving deal capture, validation, accounting, pricing, clearing, settlement, market data would be an added advantage.Understanding of aspects such as financial payment message processing / settlement / accounting / regulatory reporting requirements will be an added advantage.Would be good to have experience in Treasury Products like Murex, Kondor Plus, MISYS, eTreasury or other treasury products, Exchange Trading space, Bond markets or similar space
  • Experience in product migration, implementation - preferably been part of at least 1 Murex implementations
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and possess an excellent functional/operational knowledge of the activities performed by the various teams
  • Work with users to identify requirements and issues and work closely with development teams to define optimal solutions
  • Murex Techno-Functional consultant will lead functional requirements gathering sessions with the business. Document and validate functional requirements with the business
  • Assist in the review of functional requirements with IT
  • Murex Techno-Functional consultant will interact with business users to help define the business processes as well as gather, analyse and document business requirements (use cases, flow diagrams, etc.)
  • Murex Techno-Functional consultant will be involved in thorough test planning and coordination of testing activities front-to-back in cooperation with other involved areas and work with QA and Business Owners to develop QA/UAT test plans/cases Excellent business communication skills
  • Other skills include Effort Estimation, Pre-sales support, engagement Assessments, Project planning, Conduct Training for clients/Internal staff
  • Ability to handle crisis and steer the team in the right direction.
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • MBA/MCA/ BE / B.Tech/ equivalent with a sound industry experience of 7 to 12 Yrs
Preferred skills:
  • Prior Client facing experience
  • Experience in Murex implementations
  • Implementation experience in any of the core banking solutions
  • Sound knowledge in capital markets
