Do it here.What you ll be doing.Technology drives our business and you will be part of the action through operating and coordinating over fifty applications in the Hadoop cluster. With responsibility for leading all aspects of the platform that houses our largest and most critical Network data sets, you will ensure that the data is reliable and can be used to provide solid analytics and reporting. You will collaborate with partners to efficiently coordinate and maintain the Hortonworks Hadoop Data Platform, while seeking opportunities to identify new business applications for platform deployment.

  • Performs complex programming tasks independently.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development life-cycle.
  • Analyze the existing system architecture and strategically design and implement new changes.
  • Design, Develop and integrate the code to meet the functional requirements; contribute with minimal supervision.
  • Partner with onshore/offshore leads, QA, E2E, BA and other stake holders to accomplish the assigned tasks.
  • Partner with EMEA/APAC/Domestic users to find the opportunities and update on the status at regular intervals.
  • Participate in post implementation issues and performance tuning.
  • Set challenging yet realistic goals for self that align with your workgroup.
  • Build relationships with onshore/offshore stakeholders that create shared success for the project.
  • Drive innovation, take risks and learn from failure.
What we re looking for.You ll need to have:
  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience on Application development using Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Unix, awk, shell script.
  • Experience in Telecom Network Domain and Network OSS solutions.
  • Good SQL knowledge and experience on Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Hands on experience with Scala, Spark, Hadoop.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks like junit or mockito or powermock.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • AWS cloud or Kubernetes (K8S) or docker container knowledge.
  • Agile development environment experience applying devops practices.
  • Certification Program in a related technology.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various partners locally and internationally.
